100 Things. Or Nine. Whatever.

A few minutes ago I had 100 things to say here, and now I can't think of one. Oh, wait...

  1. My air conditioning situation has been resolved -- we are all able to sleep in blissful coolness every night.
  2. The situation did not get resolved in time for Jason's visit last weekend, however. So we were forced to stay at a hotel downtown. Darn.
  3. I got a cool e-mail from a fellow Washingtonian referencing this entry that I wrote about Deafway II. He referred me to his entry about Deafway II, pointing out that we must nearly miss each other on a daily basis. Not only is he an astute observer, but he's also got a very cool site. Check him out.
  4. Jason and I are going to Alabama for a weekend mini-vacation with my parents. Let the taunting begin.
  5. A bee in his bonnet, indeed.
  6. Athena had her baby -- yippee! Congratulations!
  7. Alaina is traveling far too much. Combined with my inability to use AIM at work, this means that we have tragically little communication these days. Just wanted to say hi, Bob. *waves*
  8. Work is going much, much better than before. They've been piling on the work, and in the last 7 days my boss has mentioned that he'd like for us to get together and talk about continuing to work at the [Nameless Federal Agency Where I Work]. The first time he was talking about a permanent position after graduation. The second time, he was talking about part-time work while I'm back in New York this year. Finally, today he asked me talk at weekly meeting of the Managing Directors of the [Nameless Federal Agency Where I Work]. Though I nearly passed out from stage fright, I'm really glad I did it.
  9. Still the cutest. baby. ever. When I saw her two weeks ago, I remarked to Ñaña that I though she was starting to recognize me. In retrospect, I'm sure it was only half true and half wishful thinking, but last weekend she showed us all. We were leaving Target, and Jason and I were in the back seat, sitting on either side of her car seat. All of a sudden, she looked up at me and smiled -- ear-to-little-baby-ear. Just to make sure that I knew it was the real thing, she kept it up for about ten seconds. (And I'm so happy that her hermanitos are here!)
So it was only nine things, not 100. It just felt like 100, I guess.
