"...Shannon can attest to the fact that all it’s taken over the past few weeks to get me riled up was an innocuous question from a friend about whether or not I’d yet found a place to live"

This really is a good thing.

The funniest part of the story -- and one that he doesn't mention -- is that when his friend first mentioned the possibility of Jason taking the apartment, we were staying with him because we were in town to start... looking at apartments. Though it was a little early to start looking in earnest, Jason's blood pressure had gotten so high that something had to be done. We carved out a weekend and drove up to Boston, talking all the way there about our strategy for investigating neighborhoods and apartments in the next two days.

We arrived at his friend's place late at night, and were chatting in the living room before slipping off to bed when our host mentioned that they were trying to buy a house and that Jason should think about moving the their apartment. The whole thing seemed perfect -- I laughed out loud and said, "Well, I guess that takes care of that! We've only been here for 20 minutes and we found a place!"

Two days later, they closed on their house and Jason got in touch with the landlord. Sometimes, things are just effortless.
